We are delighted to announce the successful publication of Volume 12, Number 1 (2023) of KONSELOR, a collaborative effort between Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia, and the Indonesian Counseling Association. This achievement marks the culmination of tremendous dedication and hard work, especially following a lengthy and challenging website migration process.

In this edition, we are proud to present five significant articles that delve into diverse aspects of counseling:

  1. Career Counselling Models and Services for Students with Specific Learning Disabilities: This article explores specialized career counseling approaches tailored to students with specific learning disabilities, emphasizing inclusive and personalized guidance.

  2. Moderating Role of Job Control and Coping Strategies in the Relationship Between Emotional Job Demands and Burnout Among Health Workers: Examining the crucial topic of healthcare professionals' well-being, this research investigates the influence of job control and coping mechanisms in mitigating burnout resulting from emotional job demands.

  3. Learning preferences and entry mode as predictors of students’ academic performance in higher institutions of learning: This research rigorously examines the relationship between students' modes of entry into university and their adherence to study ethics, aiming to understand their collective impact on academic achievement within a Nigerian university setting.

  4. Effect of Mindfulness-Based Interventions on Students with Mathematics Anxiety: A Discursive-Analytic Review: Focusing on educational psychology, this article conducts a discursive-analytic review of mindfulness-based interventions, specifically examining their impact on students grappling with mathematics anxiety.

  5. Impacts of University Lecturers' Demographic Characteristics on Their Psychosocial Work Hazards: Addressing an essential aspect of higher education, this study explores the relationship between university lecturers' demographic characteristics and psychosocial work hazards, providing valuable insights for academia.
